Im trying to find the best option to block off both the water neck and distributor. I checked with Summit, they dont carry them. Curious what other guys are doing here.

I stabbed a distributer in it!:jest:
Before I had the FAST system and rear mount distributer I just fabbed up a plate for the dist. hole.

Ha! Yeah Im still stuck with good ole GM computer engineering. Okay I will see what I can come up with. Preciate the info!

Did you guys see the intake Lloyd Elliott and his friend with the S-10 at Red Oak worked-over? They cut-off the cooling passage and welded-up the intake-to-head coolant passages and distributor hole. Then dressed it up with a die-grinder and had it media blasted. That intake looked awesome!

That is what I am wanting to do to mine. Jason (OutlawZ) had his done like that also. Brett Bauer has been doing that on his single plane conversions for some time now.

I got the plates for the front and back on mine, i wish I would have !waterneck though, that huge flat area in front makes it look sick.

The water neck delete look clean!
Im just going to make a set block off plates for now, Ive got a set in the works. I think Im going to have them welded up.

I've made a few of these up. If your going to use a log and seperate fuel pressure regulators for two stages they work out nicely.

Got the plates welded on, left the bolt holes on the waterneck so I can use it for a mount, etc (Thanks Jake for the idea!). Think it turned out pretty good.

You are getting that intake ported right?
Stroked96Bowtie

The ports are matched to the heads...but nothing has been done to the plenum(sp).
I attached a pick to show how far in it was ported.
I was told since this setup just moves air and no fuel...the plenums arent as critical to port as a carb setup that has to pass fuel and air through it. Seems to make sense but always looking for other opinions/suggestions.

Here is how my intake started off (on the left):

As for the rear distributor hole, I have a freeze plug pressed in there. I believe it was 36 mm.

Looks good...I like your FPR placement and the way you ran the lines. Did you coat the outside of the intake?

Nope, its not coated, just painted and cleared.

Just wondering as its at the coaters now, could powder coating this intake interfere with the way the injectors seat? Just making sure I dont need to give them any special instructions.

I would just keep the powder coating out of the injector bungs.
