What the hell is going on here!?!? Most of you know or may not know but I was realeased from my job because of personality conflicts with my boss. Ok I'm dealing with that. Then finding work, as it is for most of America, is very hard to do during these economic times. I applied for unemployment to help get me by AND I recieve a letter from the state saying because I owe back pay to my ex they may take up to %50 of my unemployment wages. Long story short the state is making pay for all the things my ex got back a few years ago (DAYCARE, ACCESS, ETC) and said that I should have paid her more. Anyway half!? How are you going to take half from a man who just inching by already!? UGH!! She works as well as her man and from all the cars they own they are doing well. They won't even wait till I get a job. So of the $240 per week they were going to give me she may get half of that. Is there anyone here who has a family and a home that can get by making $120 a week? If so please pm me your secrete!!

I would but all my kids are 18 or older. I'm actually in the process of modifying so I can stop paying child support. I've already subbited all the paperwork into the courts but I have to wait for my hearing before I can get that done. In the meantime I'm trying to deal with this crap too.

be glad they didnt do what they do in good ol VA! they take no more than 55% of your pay and revoke your driving rights if you owe more than $500 EVEN IF the other party doesn't complain. a guy that worked for us was put in jail after receiving a small ticket for something COMPLETELY un related to the child support, or driving ( i think fishing w/o license?) they threw him in jail with NO early release available, revoked his permit until he pays $5500 and he STILL has to pay child support to the woman while working on work release for us... our justice system is a JOKE!
