Ok, so we are getting it out there, with what SEX and how OLD everyone is, and the response and following is great on that thread.....
With over 1000 views and over 100 replies, I figured, lets get some more out here about ourselves.....
SO NOW, if you dont mind putting it out there.... what do you do for a living? IE: unemployed, full time student, mechanic, etc.....
Again, I will start,
I AM THE POPO, have been for 8 years now.....
I also put time in and wrench on cars at a local performance shop, KNOPPS PERFORMANCE... I dont say I work there because, I am not allowed to have a second job, and ultimatly, I do not benifit monitarily....

I figured, I would get something like this... LOL. its cool I get suspicious when people ask alot of questions. HONESTLY, all I am doing is trying to familiarize myself with as many people who are willing to share....
I am not a big PEOPLE PERSON when it just comes to interaction with people..(prob because of my job) but when there is a common intrest (F-bodies) and I see people just as passionate about it, it makes me curious...
I yearn to learn who likes the things I do, what kind of person has the same intrests.... etc, you know what I mean???

I am a pretty busy guy. I have 3 jobs.
Job 1 - I work at a performance shop called New Era Performance. We work on mainly LSX stuff (although we do get the occasional LT1 here and there). I clean the cars for customers, run errands, answer phones, ship products, and help the mechanics when they need an extra hand with something. Basically.. I got my hands in everything there.
Job 2 - I detail cars for a small car dealership. I also do a little repair work for them. I Get the cars inspected, registered, and ready for customer pick-up. I also post ads on the internet and help sell the cars.
Job 3 - I own my own detailing business (Mikes Performance Auto Detailing). I detail cars for people. Its fun and different. Its nice being incharge and not having to take orders from others since I'm the boss.
I'm also a full time student (Monroe Community College)
Thats about it for me... I also do drywall work with my buddy and help my father occasionally with his window cleaning and powerwashing business.

when im not working, ive been working on painting my house, garage, shed ect.
i work on lawnmowers for a side living. not much but it helps. i can do most mechanical work on alot of things. what i can't i turn down. ive grown up around cars and have learned far more then any class could teach me. but still would like to take a few classes to say i have some formal training, as most jobs don't like that you are a backwoods mechanic lol
i am also going to school, through the mail for locksmithing and diesel mechanics courses. learning lots. and having a good time doing it. at my pace when im not tired, and can focus. it makes a differnce.
so you want lumber come to schozle ace home center in black river falls wi. ill get ya what ya need. i love to help customers!

That is one business that will NEVER go out of style. I think the Transport company could be cool. Pick up a used transport trailer, truck to tow it with, and just haul cars around. Problem is getting word out and making it pay with toll's and everything else in todays world.

depends where you work, some companies pay good with good benifits, others... not so much. I work for a small company that pays really well, but the benefits are blah.. We locate for Union Power CoOp. in Union, and Cabarras county (monroe, indian trail, mint hill, waxhaw). I wont lie, some days are complete shyt, but overall its a pretty sweet gig. Just got my Auto Repair/Detailing/Auto Sales shop off the ground after working out of my garage for 5 years. I started off in a Napa doing parts, and then a local Tire Shop doing basic repairs/tires. I went to a 2 year GM Tech school after to be a GM certified tech which also involved me working at a dealership. After a few years working there, the BS and low pay eventually curbed my interest and I went out on my own.
I also do commercial/residential plowing in the winter. I started with that shoveling for a friends father for 5-6 years, and eventually saved enough to get my own truck/plow. The route has been growing ever since (Around 6 commercials and 20+ houses this year, being done by two trucks), and hopefully (fingers crossed) this will be another big season.

Your lungs pretty much have the ability to basically regenerate themselves, with some cardio work you would be surprised how much improvement you can make. Currently unemployed.
I'm only nineteen so I haven't had a lot of jobs, My first sort of real job was in 09 at a haunted house & I loved it but my health forced me to quit.
Then last year my first REAL job, I was working for a company cleaning data centers to prevent any failure to the machines.
I did projects for IBM, Department of state, T-mobile & nordstorm in seattle.
I was able to buy my camaro with that job & that was awesome because I wanted one for years.
But I lost my job due to my health again, I'm severely asthmatic & for the first two months my asthma came back I could only stay awake three hours at a time.
I'm fighting it! & once I win expect to hear from me a lot more as I will be able to work & buy the things I want to do to my lt1.

Most all multi engine plants have levels of priority. So if you were to have say 4 gens you would have 4 levels of load shed. If you drop one the switch gear automatically opens all of the priority level 4 breakers. And it will continue to shed or add load based on the number of gens available.

Yeah, there are some pretty cool projects to come out of there. Big bucks are spent by some of those guys that do the real big jobs. Just had one go out a couple of weeks ago that the guy's final bill was right around $150,000. Its crazy, but that's their trucks/home so I bet it is a good feeling for the truckers to do something different to their rig and set it off.

They're not doing the show anymore. I don't even think they show re-runs anymore. Its been 4 (I think) years since they've filmed and episode.
I still catch reruns....

Yea Tyler, I saw two episodes of Trick My Truck today, bout 7:00pm on CMT. Both my Dad and Brother drive Pete 379's, w/ CAT's in them. My dad's been driving/owned one for the past 40 yrs and my brother has been driving one for almost 10 yrs...
How long did it take to do that truck in the first video? And what wheelbase is that, like 315", lol?
I had no idea that the re-runs were even still on. I don't ever see them. Ehh.. I don't really watch a whole lot of TV anyway.
Pretty awesome they've both got 379s. Even better when they've got CATS in them. That's the majority of what I deal with on a day to day basis. If they ever think about a PCM tune or doing a better turbo, tell them to stop by. We do tunes there VIA PDI. All the guys seem to really love the tune. Even if you only pick up .5 MPG, you've got the price of the tune paid off in about 6-9 months, and you've got at least another 100 HP to boot. After the tune is paid for, its money in your pocket.
The truck in the video was at the shop for about 2 months. 6-8 weeks IIRC. We can get them done quicker, but sometimes our vendors for parts take their sweet time. In any case, it takes some time to strip them down to the frame and build them back up. Cost a lot of $$$$$$ too. Also, IIRC, we added 8 ft to that truck. Might have been 10. Either way, I'm not sure what that makes the wheel base.
You should tell your family to come out to the GBATS on Sept 28th and 29th. It's our truck show and its all free. We'll have tractor pulls, vendor booths, concerts, fireworks, etc. Even going to shoot some lady out of a cannon almost 200 ft, haha. If not, maybe I'll catch them out on the road at a show sometime. If they want more info, they can go to http://www.chromeshopmafia.com They'd probably like it if they're into that kinda thing. I know some guys just do maintenance and save the money. It's not cheap too look cool. That's what I tell everyone anyway.

Thats cool b/c both of the CATS are C15's that were turned up to 550hp, 18spd's. My dad's have bigger injectors(270 wheelbase) for the upgraded hp, but its got a lot of miles on it. Once it goes down for a rebuild, I'll send him your way for a tune. Whats the tune cost btw? My brothers is a 03' (i think) 379X with the real-fire paint scheme on it, 285 wheelbase and straight 6" stacks. They both keep them clean and polished up, and all their own maintenance. I try and help when I can. I'll tell them about that show, hopefully we can make it down there. IF so, I'll give ya a heads-up! You sure have an interesting job, you should feel lucky to work there. That shop kicks out some amazing rigs.
I'll tell them about

A tune via PDI is $2350 out the door. I'm getting married that weekend, so I won't be there past noon on that Friday, but come on up. It'll be alot of fun.

I drive a forklift for a roof tile manufacturing company. I've been in this industry for almost 25 years. I started as a stacker (we had to stack tile onto pallets. Think of working out for a living.) I worked my way up the ladder only to loose a great paying job when the economy hit the fan and now I have to start at the bottom. Money is ok but now I have to bust my ass again. That's life. At least I'm able to work and help my family so I'm greatful for that.

I have 3 jobs.
First is my main income working as a contracted parts driver for a local Dodge dealership for the last 3 years. Sucks but pays the bills at the moment.
Second is working with the local police Dept special operations unit as a special events/neighborhood protection contractor. We work exterior of all the games at the cardinal stadium and city events. Traffic, pedestrian, logistics, setup and teardown, and assist officers with various tasks. If fun and good pay when we work. Plus it got my foot in the door working with the pd. Been doing this for 5 years
Third I install security systems and surveillance both commercial and residential for my ex's uncle. I do the dirty work like running wires and hanging equipment and sweating my ass of in 130 degree attics during the summer. Helps out with the bills.
Just waiting for an opertunity as a tech or in law enforcement.

I wish more people did too it was how I was raised so its normal for me.
And I am seeing that now with the city I work for because of budget issues. It's like they shake your hand 1 minute and then turn around and kick you in the ass the next.
