Ok guys well I'm leaking oil (its an LT1 go figure) but only around the oil level sensor. The last time I changed the oil I pulled the sensor and put some rtv sealant around it but its leaking again now so I went and bought a new GM sensor. Is there anything special i should do to help this thing from leaking?
Thanks

there should be a rubber seal/washer on it. That would be a difficult place to get rtv to stick.

The new sensor comes with the seal. it looks like a big drain plug washer.

the only thing about replacing it is the longtubes make it a little tricky to get the new one in.
