What work is being done? Does it have to come all the way out?

only way I've been able to do it without completely yanking the motor is to unbolt the motor mounts and raise the engine as far as possible with a hoist. Then loosen the k-member bolts to lower it a couple inches and it's just enough room to get the pan out. This is with an aftermarket k-member also. not sure if the same can be done with the stock cradle.

Take oil lvl sensor out. motor mount bolts out. Jack engine till wont go any further. I didnt need to drop the k member when I have mine out

The manual says it can be done with the motor in the car. Go grab a Haynes at AZ. Great book to have around anyways!!!
