Easiest is going to be a Racetronix. PnP pump from them. Otherwise, APE sells the correct Whalbro pump for $110 that needs minimal mods to work.

I know this is sort of a stupid question - but for us simple minded folk, does the racetronix setup come with easy to use instructions? :D
I worked for a professor in electrical engineering before so i know how it works but i'm just lazy. . . .

I remember a kid on CZ28 having trouble with it, but he was an idiot and had trouble doing a brake job. It shouldn't be too bad and I'm pretty sure it has instructions. Are you doing the trap door method or dropping the exhaust/tank?

trap door method was done before i even owned the car - i'll continue to do it that way. . .i plan to make a sealed door out of it once i finish with all the performance side of things.
I'm not an idiot so i hold faith in myself - just looking at the pictures themselves it makes perfect since. . .i just like having instructions so i dont fuck up! :jest:

nice guide dude, it will come in handy when i have to swap my fuel pump here pretty soon... i guess that's what i get for buying a used stock pump. at least i cut the trap door the first time..

i cut out the door today, just waiting on my pump!!! i think those measurements could be altered a bit though...
Are people honestly cutting holes in the car just to replace the fuel pump? That makes about as much sense as taking to bed off a truck to replace a pump.

well my car pretty much lost all of its value since it has 153,000 miles... and i knew i would probably have another issue with it down the road since it's my daily driver.. so i made it easy on myself.

Would you rather take off your cat-back and drop your fuel tank? No holes but it's a PITA. Besides, you can hide the "trap door" method..
Kind of sucks either way though.

Yeah.. A lot of people do that. It makes everything sooo much easier and saves a lot of time. Its not really that big of a deal. You cant see it once its covered back up by the carpets either.

I guess we'll see if/when my fuel pump goes out haha!

And to you, I got a phone call this morning telling me my automotive item from VFN Fiberglass should be here tomorrow between 8am-3pm :)

I wouldn't do it because a fuel pump should be good for 100-200k miles. How many times are you honestly going to do it? Is it worth hacking up your car? And I do know people who've removed the bed to replace the fuel pump on a truck. On most models, it IS easier.

i thought it was a billion times easier this way, and if it ever goes out again. all i have to do is pull up the carpet, unscrew it out and there, done, rather than removing and installing parts.. and besides that hole isnt even that big and its covered
