I came home tonight to find out that my camaro had been stolen. There was no damage to it and the cops found it abandoned (no shit the clutch was out). I have no idea how this happened as I have the keys on me and the car was locked. It is being towed back to the house in the morning and it is costing me 300.00 out of pocket. FML can this week get any worse? Thank God I got my clutch today and hopefully next week will be better.

How DID they get it up and running??? I'm curious about how they managed to fully bypass the VATS.

It wasn't started it was loaded on a trailer and dumped when they couldn't get into it. I don't know if this was somebody just being an asshole or what happened. all I know is I reported it to the police and I got a call saying it had been recovered in the next town over.

Yes it can. Don't ever say that. Time to invest in: (F is the correct answer).

A) Gun
B) Closed circuit cameras
C) Dog
D) Lawn chair
E) Beer
F) All of the above

I would freak if someone stole my car. It would be hell if I ever found out who did it.

You could kind of take it as a compliment that they stole your car...they could have stolen a mustang but they chose your gorgeous car instead :D

Geez, thankfully they recovered it and it wasn't ripped apart! If they had gotten in, *luckily* your clutch was out ;)

Lucky indeed. My car would be nothing but a shell if some fag thieves got their grubby little paws on it. I've seen it. :(

Are you effing kidding me??? The loaded it on a trailer, couldn't get in, then unloaded it somewhere and no one saw anything??? Serious WTF there.

hmmmmmmm im pretty sure you can contact your insurance and either tell them the cars been stolen and you dont want it and youd rather take the money or put in a claim with them and they will have to fork over cash that can go to your new clutch ect.

This is also what I thought while reading it. Although if they had a flatbed in the middle of nowhere loading a car, who would stop them? (Other than maybe the owners)

As long as the truck was legit and had lights/a company name ect...

You got lucky man. If that would have been here in KC, MO, there's a very slim chance you'd ever see your car again.

Very. I've broken into a couple of different ones (keys locked in) without issue.

Lucky indeed. Glad to see a positive outcome this time. It's rather sad how easy it is to get in to these cars without a door frame.
