I just got back from the track and I know one thing that is killing me. Its the 28" tall M/T I'm running (275/60/15). I bought the drag lite's with the tires and figured I would try them. I figure I need the 275/50/15 for my set up I just wondered what is a good tire to run with a M-6 car? I do not run these wheels on my car all the time but I do like being able to drive to the track.

The Car leaves strait but it does spin coming out of the hole I was dumping the clutch at 5,500 rpm after I did about a 10 second burn-out and had the tire pressure set at 15lbs. I did manage a 1.88 sixty foot. Alot of that could have been the track was 129F and it was about 90F out.

So what M/T drag radial is better for strip use E/T street or E/T street radial?
Being a M-6 car should I step up to slicks?
Also if I stay with a D/R what is the best way to launch a M-6 car?

My car is a bolt-on car with a S-60 and all the suspension you can do other than a torque arm.

Stick cars tend to like a bias ply like a M/T ET Street or Hoosier QTP. The stiff sidewall of the radial can't absorb the "shock" of that 5500 rpm clutch drop. If the tires your using now are radials 15 psi may be too low.

Yeah the guy that I bought these wheels and tires had a automatic. I figure I would try them out.

You must have been in the car I passed on Noland just north of the track about 9pm last night that I was drooling at?

The car sounded like it had more than just some bolt-ons. What exhaust setup do you have?

My MT 275/50s didnt work so great on my M6, Im now using 27" Hoosier QTPs but havent been back to the track yet. A 2-step should also help a ton.

Thank you that is when I left the track (9:00pm). It has shorties into an x-pipe then dynomax bullet mufflers dumped before the rear.

Hmm, similar to my setup. Mine is LT's through an ORY through a single bullet with a 45 degree turndown. I hope to god my car sounds as mean as yours!

I was in my Civic, therefore I know for a fact you did not notice me at all :)
