Need Some Advice

So far this summer all i have done is work.......not really a problem, racked up quite a bit in the checking account and now my parents think they can tell me how to spend my money.........I had my eye on a 05 YFZ450 looked brand new and had been babied most of its life and they only wanted $3750 for it and i could have easily had that thing paid off before the summer was over........but thats never gunna because i got in a huge fight with my parents and they blew up on me tellin me if i wanna buy crap like that i should start paying rent at my own house!?!?! I see there point on how they are saving me money by lettin me stay here but I dont work just to stack money and the bank and do nothin with it........anyways enough with that rant, I managed to work to work out a deal and they are gunna let me buy one of 2 things then i have to start saving for college more....option number one is a full nitrous kit from nitro daves along with the mounts and all the other stuff that i need to get it all goin.......option two is buy a carbon fiber SS hood and a SS wing and get them painted along with my rear bumper on my Camaro.......so what do you think would be the better one to buy? Cuz i like my car to look good and turn heads but yet i wanna go fast to haha.

the thing with heads and cam is I wouldnt waste my time just doin one or the other it'd all be done at once(heads, cam, intake), and why do you guys think i should pay the rent.......and the house we live in and i offered to pay rent but they told me they didnt want me to they just dont wanna see me spendin all my money on my car and to put alot away for the college year when I dont have my job..........what other mods are out there to gain you 100+ rwhp for $1700-$2000, and not jerry rigging everything but to make sure its done right and use good quality parts???? Plus I dont have a shop to tear my car all apart and mess with it........i got 1/2 of a double stall garage, so im kinda limited on space

the big thing is i got a couple buddies around here that drive mustangs and they think they are the fastest things ever cuz the ones a supercharged 96 cobra but he cant drive and it runs like crap and never stays together.....so I just wanna kinda be able to know i can beat them but i dont wanna tear my motor apart and I dont wanna supercharge or turbo it cuz i dont wanna go wheap with somethin like that so i was thinkin nitrous was the way to go for some quick hp that you dont necesarily have to use all the time..........but I like gettin attention from all the adults with my car on how clean it is and how well it looks so i was thinkin a hood and spoiler would really set it off and i'd be good to go

I dont really care cuz i dont street race(had a lil accident with a mustang) so i dont really need to be kickin everyones ass on the street haha, and his car looks like sh!t its all scratched up and scraped up and he's to big of a puss to bring it to the track and find out how slow it really is and when someone calls him out its always not "tuned" beings he tunes it himself and thats why it blows up after 500 miles of driving, and the other kid just has a 5.0 with full bolt ons and a mild cam but thinks its god for some reason......dont get it, but anyways i dont need to go fast but i like the idea of having it incase i need it :)

and occasionally on the street, but thats why i was thinkin a hood and spoiler would be a smarter idea..........but it would be nice to say my car runs in the 12's when someone asks how fast ur car is :) and not affect the reliability/streetablility of it

See the thing with that is we sat down one night and figured out all my expenses and it came up to like $720 a month or somthin like than and i make almost triple that amount a month and have been savin the past month and a half and all they told me is that they would like to see me put atleast that 720 in the bank each month so when i head back to college in the fall i got money and dont have to worry about it, and my dad told me somethin that made alot of sence "If your not helpin yourself, why should we help you?"

You should be putting most of your money towards college. You've got your whole life to work on making your car badass. College is only for a few years (unless you have to pay it off later, you see?) But that doesn't mean you can't get a few things for your car here and there--just gotta be careful.

Personally, I think your car looks amazing as it is. If I were to do anything at all with the appearance, it'd probably be a cowl hood and leave the spoiler.

Regardless, I voted for NO2. I'd rather be fast than "look good" any day.

It's much cooler to have a stock looking car that can make mustang kids piss their pants than to have a modified-looking .. stock car.. if that makes sense :)

COLLEGE!! N20 will blow up your motor... A body mods equal paint work and inevitabley some one will scratch your nice painted shit. Save your $$$ and do a full go fast build some day, maybe on a car that is easier to work on and will go faster for less $$. Just my 2 cents..

The thing bout savin for college is i only owe about 5500 a year after all of my scholorships and crap and those are on low intrest loans will im done with school completely, just gotta pay the interest each month........and my cars inbetween a DD and a weekend car, I drive it about 1 or 2 nights a week around town and then if the gf and I head out to a movie or out for supper I take it then..........and down the road i'll prolly really build it up but for now i just want somethin mildly fast that can shut ppl up when they talk sh!t..............

haha i dont think hookers would go over to well with the gf.........but im thinkin nitrous might be the way to go cuz i just paid 375 to have my front bumper painted and id more than likely take it back to the same place and 3 things would get a lil pricey plus everyone that has nitrous says they love the stuff

if you get the bottle make sure you get the safety stuff. don't just toss a kit on the car and be done with it. you will regret it.

at the minumum you will want a fuel pressure saftey switch, window switch, colder plugs and a nitrous filter.

i would also put a new fuel pump in to make sure it can keep up. i would also get an ignition box (i have the mallory 685) to get rid of the stock rev limiter. the stock limiter cuts fuel and cutting fuel and nitrous don't play well together.

My opinion is Go before Show like a few other people said... the front end of my car is all jacked up and looks lilke shyt and my windshield is cracked... I could have fixed all that first but I put a heads and cam package on the car and I love the power it has.. it sucks it doesnt look great but I love being able to smoke people...and ur car looks good how it is right now.

12-1500 bucks to Mr. Lloyd Elliot would get you an easy 100whp and still be reliable. You can do a head/cam swap in a small garage, all you need is a few feet of space in front of the car and you're set.

I'm big on looks, but your car stands out enough as it is.

I say you make more power now, and save up a little more money later down the road and get your appearance needs taken care of.

Or you could man up and spend your own money on what you want and not let your parents run your life, but thats my opinion. I wasn't really ever told what to do.

i have the extra set of stock heads in my basement for that purpose but the thing is then ya gotta add around 750 more to that for all the valvetrain parts like roockers, lifters, pushrods, arp studs, ect..... stock heads are for sale by the way only 36k miles on them look almost new!! but back to the head swap thing, i thought about soin it but it added up fast with all the peices and parts cuz headers would go on at the same time...........
