well i finally tracked a new camaro down and took it down it was abosultly slow as a turd i took him by more than 3 cars and it wasnt a v6 because it was a ss the guy said it is a 2ss version and my car is still a stock firehawk lt1s still rule lmao

Hmmm, was it an auto? They are significantly slower than a manual. L99 to LS3 and all.

yeah it was an auto they are suposed to be 422 vs 410 manual

the manual has more hp and the auto has displacment on demad feature which i believe robs a little hp but..... they run low 13's consistant. are you stock?

Its 400 hp in the auto and 426 in the manual. The auto is something like three to four mph SLOWER than the stick.

LOL... I wouldn't call the distinction 'significant'... they're 1/10th apart in the 1/4 mile, by all accounts; a distinction sure, absolutely; but at least in my opinion, not significant. When the autos stall up, that distinction will fall to the wayside as they always have.

BUT! I too ran across my first 2010 (on the road) this past week... Dude was pulling onto the street I was on... I shot him a thumbs up and slowed down to wait on him...

SUHWEET looking silver unit... no badges, so it must have been the six. Sounded great though... I mean if it was the six, it has a really sweet note to it.

Anywhooo... This guy was about the snottiest Camaro driver I've ever run across. He wouldn't even look OVER. I mean I'll be the first to admit that my car isn't the nicest F-body on the road; it's charm is in it's hot rattiness... I like to think of her as a cute little redneck chick with a fine, tightly wrapped pooper, sitting on a well tuned set of legs; with a set of well proportioned high-rise cans. Butt-a-face... 3 beer minimum... Anyone know her? Everyone likes her... 'cept the other chicks... :devil: After a ride, ya sorta feel 'dirty'... you'll never tell Mom; but ya can't wait to tell you're buddies... and take another ride... But I digress...

But JEECE man.. a little courtesy wave ain't gonna kill ya... ya know?

So we get to the light and he's lookin' straight ahead, like this is going to be a race or somethin'; lol... and I KNOW this dude can see me as I'm motionin' for him to roll down the window, so I can tell him what a sweet ride he has and get a quick report... Nothin'... just lookin' head on...

I'm like... "fine... we'll do it your way...' So sure enough the light turns and he bolts... whereupon I crushed him like a bug and moved on; I rolled him up breakin' lose and quite literally left him in the dust and smoke.

I wanted to feel bad about it... being the new Baby Brother and all... but I just can't. Never had an F-body operator throw such a snotty 'tude...
