View Full Version : Daily Driver 1/4 mile times
Dont be shy, we know you like to race your non LTx cars as well.
Basic run down should cover it, assuming most daily drivers are fairly stock. (besides some nuts that DD 800 rwhp cars, which I give props to)
My '95 Civic went 17.06 at 80.7 mph on a 2.45 60'. Completely stock with very little compression (115 lbs on all 4 cyliners)
That poor car didnt pick up any mph at all when I powershifted it :)

Never raced the daily... it's even more of a turd than the LT1 truck :)
Should be a ~17 or 18 in the quarter based on the trucks I've raced with it.

Only 2 of the 9 cars I own or have owned haven't been to the track and those were my 96 explorer and 80 4 door aspen. The rest of them have been down the 1320 including my old 92 cavilier with a time of 17.14 at 79.

Yea I'm not gonna be the D-bag who takes my full sized stock truck to the track!:shame: Unless it's pullin the trailer! I'd guess about 18-20 at 90 mph! (2000 GMC Sierra 1500 Ex Cab Z71 5.3L)

13.1 @ 106....Does this count since my DD is a LT1????
My truck went 15 something @ 90 something back when I had the blower on it. It was just a 6psi Powerdyne. But even with the blower the 22's effect on the gear ratio made it a pig. It was fun to surprise the unsuspecting Honda or Hyundai on occasion though.

Haven't taken the CTS-V to the track since it needs a clutch and I still wouldn't leave very hard on it due to the rear end issues...but they all run low 13's stock.

Thats a high mph for that slow of an ET haha.
My brother has an 07 Reg cab shorty Silverado with the 4.8 (on heavy ass factory 20's) and it went 16.06 at 88 or 89 mph. I dont know how those compare to the older 5.3's but I'm sure they would be similar.

High 15's to low 16's @ 80-85 mph. Never ran it though, that'd be a nuisance to other people trying to run at the track

haha all i can think of is Will Farrel's skit... "I drive a dodge stratus!" lol good times
my truck should run a 15.0 at 93 or something according to motortrend. mine has more stuff done to it than the one they used, but it should be close i guess.

Still sounds like a weedeater IMO. I want to put a exhaust on it but I don't want to draw attention to my truck driving home from the bars. Luckily my house (as of Aug. 1) is only 3 blocks from the bar, hopefully that will help persuade me to pay my buddy to weld up a flowmaster to it. :secret:

I have a couple flowmaster 40's layin around I figure I could have my mechanic throw one in. He's done a ton of little stuff for me to help?

Well I'm sure I got a new PB in the DD last night but wouldn't you know it... when I pulled up to get my slip..... BLANK!!! I was pissed. I was running against an SRT4 Neon and I had 2 bus lengths on him at the end of the track. He went 14.1.
I decided the bottle was about empty and all I could get even with the bottle heater on was about 850psi. I upped the N20 jet 3 sizes, and the fuel 4 sizes. I'm not sure what that equaled but it felt good!
