Well, I'm just sitting here at work ready to get to of here and get the car to the track. It's the first time I've had it out this year, first time on ET Streets, first time with the street twin (I'm hoping my trans survives better than AC). I'm hoping to be easily in the 11's. I've never ran it with the T-Trim @ 14psi yet so these will be my first passes at this power level. I'm kind of nervous...

My wife is going to be there and hopefully get some video assuming she can keep the boys occupied. I've got an in-car camera I've never used so if I can figure it out maybe I'll have some vids to post. Hopefully I don't suck driving too bad:laugh:.

Wish me luck!

Good Luck and if the temps are like they are here in chi-town then you should make some nice power for racing at the end of june. Are you running race fuel in it?

It's 72 and the humidity is low here in Indy:metal:. I'm taking a cooler full of ice for the aftercooler and I will be running VP Q16. If the logs look good after the first pass I may bump timing up to see what kind of difference that makes.

Thanks!

good luck

did you tune the car on Q16? I know this fuel is supposed to make some killer power if tuned properly with it.

I actually just left the pump gas tune in it. I'm sure I left a lot on the table. I was nearly empty so I mixed 3 gallons of the Q16 with 5 gallons of Shell 93. Seemed to run great.

Well here are the results.....

I made three passes of which only the first one did I not miss a gear, freakin 4th gear both of my last two runs. Man I need some seat time to really get a handle on this thing. I'm not happy with the ET's for sure.

I wasn't really putting an emphasis on the R/T as you can tell....

R/T .643
60' 1.999
330 5.308
1/8 7.910
MPH 95.86
1000 10.134
1/4 11.966
MPH 125.66

R/T .413
60' 1.928
330 5.272
1/8 7.987
MPH 93.84
1000 10.333
1/4 12.353
MPH 113.43

R/T .549
60' 1.779
330 4.944
1/8 7.507
MPH 96.68
1000 9.836
1/4 11.751
MPH 118.76

Needless to say I was on a pass the 3rd run. Nearly 1/2 second better to the 1/8th and I couldn't believe I missed f'n 4th!!!

Get those 60' down and you knock a ton off your time. Did you mess with the tune at all? As Larry said running VP 16 will net some killer times. By buddy's SC car runs awesome on the stuff.

Yeah, definitely need to go beat on it some more. I kept leaving at higher RPM each time but still on the 1.7 60' I left right around 3000 slipping it a little not side stepping.

As far as the tune I left it alone. I felt that at least tonight I had a better chance of improving my time, just based on me getting better. I logged the runs and my VE table is spot on, I had some false knock show up right after the shifts which was probably exhaust rattling or just the violence of the shift. I always get it and I should probably just turn off the knock sensor when I race.

For sure it wouldn't hurt:cool:

With more time in the car I'm sure you'll get that number down.
