Went up to Dallas raceway last night and was very impressed by the facilities. 100% concrete with 4400' of shut down, awesome track food, and bathrooms cleaner than alot of resturants. Went up there chasing the elusive 9sec slip.

Last time out the car ran:
60' 1.501
330' 4.268
1/8 6.522 @ 109.83
1000' 8.438
1/4 10.053 @ 139.72

This was spinning past the 330' timers @ 3210# raceweight
I added 70# to the back of the car to help with traction Raceweight of 3280 and on the first nitrous pass ran
60' 1.543 (launched on 950psi to soften the hit)
330' 4.195
1/8 6.418 @ 111.04

did not get any more data due to track error

Next nitrous pass launched on 1100psi
60' 1.425 :bigthumb: carried the wheels all the way through first gear
330' 4.204
1/8 6.478 @ 109.07
1000' 8.431
1/4 10.096 @ 133.68

This pass the shifter went all the way to third instead of second...so I pulled from the 60' mark to the end of the track in 3rd gear :(
All in alll I was pleased with the way the car ran even though I didn't get my 9.

Cliff notes
I added 70# picked up a tenth in the 1/8 on a slower 60' then on another pass picked up another tenth in the 60' then screwed up the 1-2 shift. :secret:

congrats

I always like the weight over the rear tires and normally run 3/4 tank of fuel to help.

thx guys....I am slowly but surely getting the car to work...I have the engine up to par right now, and have the car hooking again. If we can get a break from the heat (its been 101-105 latley) I see some really good times very soon.

Hopefully I will be back out in a couple weeks.

Ohh...Larry thx again, they worked wonders. ;)

Congrats on the runs. Texas heat/air in the summer sucks. But when the fall rolls around, its gonna be go time at Crandall.
