And once again you are not giving any help to us figuring out the numbers.. not knowing how big the cam is or if those stock heads are ported or not

No more than 360whp/380wtq IMHO

edit: wait is it an M6 or A4

I'll stick with my original numbers

I probably wouldn't even give it a 360 whp maximum with stock heads...

I dunno if you plan to modify the car anymore than it already has been, but if so do yourself a massive favor and send the heads to either Lloyd Elliot, or Advanced Induction, and get a cam to match from them.

There have been a handful of cam only 350 LT1s that have reached the 350whp mark.

But like I said, without knowing the specs on the cam I wont give it anymore than 360whp

True, but those were usually some really big cams, and a mild cammed 383 will be a stump puller. Especially without heads to match the new cubes.

I'd put my money on an almost stock looking torque curve, and horsepower peaking around 325-350 at around 5000 rpms.

EDIT: Stock looking, but of much higher values. :)

But yes, I'd say 360 is the max he should look for out of his current setup if he were to dyno it.

With a 383?

There have been cam onlys making 360, but bieng a 383 is somwhat going to hurt peak power with stock heads, especially if it is under cammed.

It will probably make great low end torque, but peak power will probably be a couple hundred RPM less then stock:face_shocked:

Port those heads!

i just built a 396 with ported heads, shaft T&D rockers, full boltons, and a small cam and it only made 436hp/406tq... its in a buddys car, i wasnt really expecting more but to have everything it does its kind of weak IMO... people that do big CI motors and mild heads cam setups are stupid. if your gonna build a mild motor why not build a 355 so it will atleast take RPM a little better... this car ran out of breath and maxed the runners out at 6200 RPM and its built to spin to 7500 atleast :(

Eh, I can see where you're going with that, since they dropped so much cash in they could have simply altered cam specs and picked up plenty, but there are uses for mild/reliable builds. Heck, it's what I'm planning on! Shooting for 360/380 rwhp/rwtq out of an LE H/C/I setup. It'll be capable of way more than that, once I go 383 after I get a better job/a few years of college. But for now, it'll be more than enough.
