I got a MSD Digital 6 plus, hooking up the box is simple with the harness but how do I wire the button. I know its the blue wire on the box but do i splice in a button then where do i route it to get power? Do i splice in a switch and then to the fuse box??????
Also what do i do with the red/pink line. Looks like its for a nitrous switch but I dont have it?

I'm not sure of wire colors on the digital 6 but you'll need to find power from the fuse box, lighter, etc and run it through a momentary switch to the 2 step wire. Make sure you get momentary "on" not "off" (power on when pressed, off when released!) You could check and see if yuor car has these power supplies:

Sweet thanks!
The Dig 6 plus has 2 wires, blue for the 2 step and pink for timing retard. Since I dont have spray do I just zip tie the pink one out of the way?
So I basically add the momentary switch to the end of the blue line then to any 12v power source?
Oh and when I use it can I just dump the clutch or do I need to slip it? Any special advise for using it?

Thanks Kyle~
I was thinking about putting it where the stock airbox would go. Easy to get at and about as far as it get away from the engine while still being in the engine bay. I thought about putting it in the car but want as stock looking as possible inside.

Cool. When the seat is pushed back you can't even see it. It's actually under the front seat. FYI.

Mike put the box in the car to protect it from the heat some. I have my Mallory box in my center console and I think it gets pretty hot in there even but is right there for tuning nitrous pulls on the dyno if needed.

The directions say its ok to put in the engine compartment as long as its not in direct contact with the engine heat, also says not to put it in the glove box or similar. Maybe Ill do it how Kyle has his.
Also what do I need if I decide to swap to a new steering wheel? Is there an adapter or something? I like the idea of having the switch on the wheel instead of the shifter? Anyone wire one up to the stock steering wheel?

Some people have just hooked it up to the clutch pedal. There should be a clutch in safety switch there now. I think that would work better to add an extra switch there then to have an extra button to push.
Think about push in the clutch and let it eat. All you will have to do is let out the clutch pedel when the light goes green.

Thought about that too, but it would activate every time the clutch is pressed.

But it wouldn't do anything unless the motor was above the rpm setting that you have it at. So unless your holding the throttle to the floor on the shift it wouldn't matter.

I need to test still, but say I set it to leave at 6k and shift at 6800. It would bounce off the 6k limiter every shift since it would be set below my shift points.
