Traction control question?

Hey guys! Can bad brake pads or low brake pad material cause the traction control sensors to activate? Everytime I first start my 01 Monte SS the check engine light goes on and it shows my traction control sensors. That car feels as if though you were slightly pushing the brake for a couple seconds. I ran a scan and the scanner did not show an error for the traction control sensors. Any help appreciated!! And as always LTXTECH kicks bing bong holes!!! :D

You won't find a code in the PCM for the traction control system because the EBTCM controls it. Try pulling the sensors out and cleaning them. Sometimes they get metal shavings and brake dust in there and start acting strange.
