I may have found why I cant get my Racetronix PnP pump to prime/run...The factory harness that enters the tank, at the top, that plugs into my Racetronix iring harness inside the tank...Where the two plug-in, there is a burnt spot on the power wire, where it plugs onto the factory plug..(built into the fuel tank "cap."....How do I test this out? How do I fix this??
Anybody?

Man your post is a little hard to follow... Is there any possibility to get a picture of the 'burnt spot' you speak of?
By my understanding of your post, the burnt spot is on the inside of the tank between the fuel pump and the top of the sending unit?
Best thing to do from here is to check for continuity from somewhere before the burnt spot and somewhere after it... Then check and make sure that there is NOT continuity from before the burn to ground. That would indicate a short and probably the cause for the burn. You can check for continuity with a basic multimeter set to measure ohm's. It will go from reading 'open' to some other value. Indicating a complete path from one point to the next.
I have a 96 sending unit lying on the floor of my garage right now. If you want it, pay shipping and it's yours. It's gutted, so you'd have to swap over your pump/bucket assembly. But the rest is all there.

Sorry, its just hard to describe where the harness's come together, one harness that comes into the tank, through the tank"cap." And the in-tank harness that runs off the pump.
I find my problem, it was just a loose connection between the two harness's,causing a bad connection. As of right now, it works fine.
There was a guy on cz28 that had the same problem, and ended up getting rid of the factory harness and running his own, just bigger gauge wire.
