Started on the long process of painting my car

I started sanding on the new hood for my car yesterday. Next step is to fix the imperfections in the hood with some filler then primering the hood and new spoiler. Then on to the rest of the car :D I'm so excited!

It's a 2.5 inch Cowl Hood. I'm staying red, it's just gonna be a whole new coat.

I bought it off of a guy on ebay and to be honest the main reason I bought it is because it doesn't look like any other cowl hood on an LT1 camaro. It has a few inperfections I've got to fix but it's worth it.

I added up the prices and I saved like 400 dollars by buying that hood off of Ebay instead of harwood. It had some imperfections but i can do some body work for 400 dollars lol.

i got mine directly from harwood inc. i live like an hour from their manufacturing/ distribution center... and man do that have some sweet stuff, they had a monte carlo out there with some prototype hood on it they were working on, and it looked sweet!

i live in Lufkin, Tx: a town of a population of 30,000.
which sounds like a lot of ppl, but when your two hours away from Houston which has a population of like a million plus, it's pretty wimpy.

We were supposed to finish it up this weekend but things didn't go as planned...as usual. But we did get it all wet sanded and completely ready for paint. We're supposed to tape it off and paint Thursday but I doubt it'll happen...But I'm gonna keep my fingers crossed!!
