I've heard some that sound awesome, others that just don't have the flow to make that muffler sound right.

IMO Borla has produced the most original sound so far followed by GMMG and Spintech.

My supercharged 383 w/ fully open Borla sounds like it came riding straight from the pits of Hades to take the souls of men and I even have a hi-flo cat in it.

Exhaust is all taste it seems and are built almost entirely equally with the exception of Flowmaster 80's which just suck and are ill-advised.

^^^im gonna have to say you're right about exhaust is a matter of opinion. I personally dont like how borla mufflers sound, and i love how my flowmaster 80 sounds with the exception of the pops and cackles (im gonna try to fix with a bullet muffler maybe).

i do like how the borla xr1s sound though. When i hear an open borla i think of a turbo muffler with a bad exhaust leak in front of it.

IMO, Borla on an LT1 is just about as good as it gets. I've always thought this... and was recently reminded of it by Neil350's car. Hmmm.... it would fit where my spare tire goes :D

Mix it up a little... LT1, but no F-body. Hedman V8 swap shorty headers, 2.5in collectors, single 3in flowmaster.

It was still a little cold... not QUITE this raspy once it warms up.
