parking brake

My emergency brake works fine, but when you pull the handle up it falls right back down. Its not locking in place. I pulled the center console to see what the hell was going on in there and nothing looks broken or missing. Any detailed advice/ pics would be most helpful as this is pissing me off. Oh well I'm calling it a night. Tomorrow is another day.....

That's not a bad problem as long as it still works. You've now got a quick release and can utilize this for X-TREME parking and bootlegger turns :D

I know what your saying but i need it to work as a parking brake. its a pita to shut the car off everytime i get out so it doesn't roll.
