I have a flowmaster catback on my 94 camaro. It used to sound nice, but I think a baffle broke loose in the muffler, and now it makes the most horrible buzzing sound I've ever heard. It's embarrassing to drive.

I bought a flowtech afterburner muffler for Fbods from summit for $59. It has a 3" inlet and 2 2.5" outlets. It's insides are basically just like an old turbo muffler. It has the cyl shaped cheese graters inside.

Has anyone ever heard one of these on an fbod? Are they loud? Do they sound good? Do they flow well?

Everyone I know says flowmasters are actually horrible flowing mufflers, so I figured anything was better than that.

Yes I used one for a couple weeks on stock tubing/cats and midtube headers.

Sounded great.... but then my catback came in the mail and I put that on.....

It wasnt overly or annoying.... pretty quiet until you put the pedal to the metal....

I never had one on my fbody but i do have them on my 2000 Ram and use to run them on my 70 Chevelle. They sound decent and flow OK and the price isn't bad either.
