Is it normal...no. How do you know you have obd2?

Well I have a shop and the shops around me are in auto stuff so they let us borrow tools and always help us and they scanned the car but they used the OBD II. A code came up that was b18 or something like that. Had to do with the injectors circuit or wiring or something but we checked the continuity of the injectors and we did the noid test or what ever. Looks good but still runs bad.

I dont know why you have an obd2 pcm in your car but it is possible. People swap to obd1 all the time.

I bought the car like that and didn't even know it was OBD II until I got it scanned.

95 has an OBDII connector but OBDI PCM. Are you sure it's OBDII? A DTC18 is for the injector circuit so I'm guessing you have OBDI. Check the plugs for the injectors along with the harness going to the injectors for a broke or corroded wire.

yep 95 was the conversion year, cars came with the obd2 connector but still retained the obd1 pcm.

You're best bet is to buy your own scanner that will read OBD 1 & 2 . I know all the auto stores around me can't read my codes when I get them.
