sweet looking hoods and umm hoods, and ya im selling mine but i love the look of the SS hood, i just need a higher raised hood...keep em coming cars look great guys

VFN makes a 3" SS hood. might check that out.

Thanks, but as you can see there's a nice dent in the rocker panel. It's by no means perfect. In a couple years I'll be able to give it the TLC it really deserves.

Another Sunoco user checking in.

Nice... didn't know you finally got it painted. Did yours clear the wipers or did the painter have to trim the back of the cowl? Just curious is they fixed that problem.

Don't remember what they go for full price, but VFN runs group purchases quite often. That's probably the best time to get in on it.

I had to grind out the cowling. When Randall had this hood on his car he said he had no problem with it :hmm:

And I had to take off the passenger wiper in order for me to be able to use the drivers side.

Yeah mine's got stress lines from using the stock hood struts when they said it would be fine. I was told if I just leave the struts off for a weak or so the lines should go away... are you running VFN's hood struts?

they run down the flat parts of the hood... think of the stock hood's louvers and the lines going down the sides of the hood. pretty much like that.

Ouch! Is that one of their older hoods? I seem to recall something about a change to strengthen the newer versions some time back.
