i think i have a bad lifter, gonna try to tightin the rockers later today and see if that helps, let me know what you think

Its hard to hear, but I'd double check your rockers b/f you declare a dead lifter (its easier to fix!) but if it keeps happening it might be the lifter.

Do you have poly locks on?

What rockers are you running? My Pro Mags kind of sound like that, like a sewing machine. Did the sound just start recently?

It's hard to hear, try taking a video and moving the camera around and back up a few feet and then come in close.

dont know if there are poly locks, all i know is there comp 1.6s put on by the previous owner, ill go take another video real quick

edit: yes it just started a couple days ago as soon as i started the car

Do NOT just try and tighten the rockers. This could cause you to bottom out on one of the lifters and make it even worse. Just reset everything back to 1/2 past 0 lash or so

well i adjusted the rockers today and it didnt help, FML
oh but the service engine soon light decided to come on

not sure what code or even how to tell, but i did realize that the front of the motor is leaking oil im not 100% sure yet but i think its from the intake

sounds like a bad lifter or a bent pushrod. my guess was going to be to set the lash but apparently it didn't work

it didnt look like any of the pushrods were bent but iv never seen a bent pushrod so i dont know how noticable it is, i have tommoro off so might adjust them again, guess it couldnt hurt

Pushrods don't usually JUST BEND. There's probably an interference problem somewhere in the valve train. Find it or this'll probably happen again.

its being rebuilt in 2 months so hopefully it will be ok until then
