First I will get my engine setup out of the way.

Forged 355 9.2:1 CR
Vortech s-trim with a 2.95" pulley. (11-12 psi)
Custom ground COMP Cam 22x/23x @.050"
60# Siemen injectors
Racetronix wiring harness with the Walbro 255lph pump

Here are the questions.

1) What spark plugs do you recommend? I ran NGK TR55s before with no problem. And how should I determine gap?

2) I bought the Melling M155 oil pump through Lingenfelter and it came with their version of the white spring to make it a HP/SV pump. How do I install the spring?

A good starting point on plug gap would be .035.......I think that is where most people gap theirs when they are running boost or nitrous. Thats where I gap mine. I never have any plug problems.

The overwhelming response will most likely be TR6 NGK's. These have proven themselves over and over. They are what I run in my nitrous car. This is assuming you are running a stock style head that accepts a tapered plug. AFR's and other aftermarket heads use a gasket style plug.

I agree .035 is where you should start. That is the gap I run on the blower car.

^^ agreed. the TR55's will be a little too warm in a boosted car especially above 10 psi. Go to TR6's and then start a .035 gap and you should be good. If you really wanna have fun, run it at .035, then run it a .040 and keep going up until you start blowing out the spark. Make sure you do WOT runs, since that's when you would experience the most blow out. Then go a few thou less to get the most gap you can out of 'em......

My guess is it won't be too much more than .045 if you even get that far.

It all depends on your ign. system and cyl. head design
