Supposedly it was about 250 STD HP and 310 Trq.

I have a Vortech V1 at 5lbs and that is sad. But, I am neck and neck with a Camaro and G8 with about 400hp at he wheels and the dyno was reading weird numbers for everyone.

Bottom line, I need a tune. I need to get a local tuner in the Socal area. If you know anyone, let me know.

Also, I was told that is was misfiring and only running on 7 cylinders.

wait. you made less horse power than stock with a supercharger?

guess it could be with only running on 7 cylinders? on a stock block youd probably be around 400rwhp give or take.

What was it revving to? Like 3500?

Doesn't look like that guy knows how to use a dyno. Didn't sound like he even did a pull. Sounds like he only pulled to around 3-3500.

The powerband stops around 4700 with the vacuum tube connected to the msd box and without it connected it stops around 5100. It wont go any higher under a load.

WTF? I wasn't even hearing WOT it sounded like.

Exactly. That was WOT. That is why I need a tune lol.

Check your plug wires then get a tune. Also, check the plug wires to see if they're going to the correct plugs.

Wires are fine. I need a tune but a I am trying to find a place where I can get a tune for a good price.

if your at 250,,im not sure a tune alone is gonna get you to 400...that thing sounded a little under the weather

More that positive that the dyno wasn't reading right because one of the people in our club dynoed his Saturn redline or Ion cant remember but it was SC and had stuff done to the engine and he asked for them to stop at 7000 and that is pushing it,yet when he got the sheets, the first run said that he only got to 6000 and the second went to 9000 and the last was 7000. All the people there had some reading that were totaly off.

i would probably find another dyno for next time..and if you think the dyno was screwed up then dont be disappointed until you go to a good dyno.now if the next dyno says 250 or anything close i would think something is wrong

It was $30 for 3 pulls so you get what you pay for. It was fun though.

Dude, regardless of if the dyno operator knew what he was doing you are only trying to fool yourself if you think that all you need is a tune....

Honestly you need to diagnose what is up with that car. You don't need an initial dyno tune done. Just send PCMforless or Ion your set-up and have a mail order tune. They will get you pretty damn close.

Start with fuel delivery, from pump to injectors. Then verify you have good spark. Your car is ill and it's not the tune (unless the PCM is fried). Hell my car untuned with just the old s-trim made 380/380 right out of the box.

I'm not trying to be an ass or anything, just being honest.

x2.. either they were half throttle in that vid, stuck in overdrive or dynoed in 6th gear... or in more likely situation your car has some serious problems

I would love to do that but I have NO IDEA of what has been done to the car. Only thing is the supercharger, and the mods I put on it. Infact, it still has the stock MAP sensor. I dont want to do a PCM for less thing because I dont know if the people who did the SC to the car did it right or just slapped it on. If I could find out the things they did to it would defintely get the PCM but I dont want to say that everything is stock and just guess because that would be pointless. I think our plan for now is dont run it too hard and start saving money and redo the top with new springs and valves and maybe further on get forged pistons. But for now, there isn't much I cant do. I think this weekend I will be able to get the compression so I will post that up.

The car is a M6 and the run was full throttle and in 4th gear. I am telling you, it's not running right. I will try to get a video of it starting (when it's cold) and a video of it running hard. You will see what I mean.

My recommendation: Spend the money, go to a different dyno where the guy knows what he's doing. Start over from scratch, forget you ever got on the dyno previously.
