when i got balls to the wall as soon as 6000 rpm comes around it starts to break out the car is chiped with no rev limiter
Do you really need to run it over 6k rpm?
How can you describe the "break out" differently?

nothing just programmer and bigger throttle body
If its basically stock, you shouldnt need to spin it anywhere near 6k rpm. You're just losing power you could have made in the next gear.

Yeah, there is no need to be spinning that many R's on a stock motor.

Ok first, how do you know it has had a programmer used on it? (I ask because you first referred to it as a chip)
Second, Unless you have a larger cam you have absolutely no need to go over 6000rpms, in fact your power band is dropping off by 5500rpms

well i want to get the lt4 kit with the nice cam cause i think my valves are floating with weak spring the motor has 150000 miles on it never bein touched till this winter but not sure what to do yet i know iam getting rid of that trans and getting a th350 manual valve body ive had that 4l60e rebuilt 4 times its getting costly when i could be doing the motor

You didn't answer my questions.. but okay
1. If you're having to rebuild the 4160e that many times, you're bringing it to the wrong place, or you are treating the car like crap. A stock car would maybe need one BASIC rebuild on an auto tranny in 150,000 miles, unless it was simply abused.
2. IF your valves are floating it will be because you're revving the car too high. My car regularly saw 5800 rpms when I had the stock cam and stock calve springs in it and I never had a float issue with 116-130k miles on it.
3. The hotcam kit is a good kit but the spring in the kit are on the edge of being maxed out even with a small hotcam. With 150k you should save up for a basic 355 rebuild on the bottom end

sounds like the car is being beat, its an auto car being reved to 6000 RPM it should never go that high with an auto so hes manually shifting gears witch 4L60s will not take, there computer controled let them shift where it needs to. just wait to you rev that high get valve float and smack a valve off a piston, Trust me it happens I did it to mine but I reved mine to 6400 with LT4 springs and 1.6 roller rockers I reved it that high since the faster I spun mine the more boost I made the harder mine pulled, but I knew I was going to blow it one day doing that, but I ran low 12s on a bone stock engine.

its not fun, the vave spring isnt strong enough to close the valve as fast as it should and it hangs open to long it can let this happen

stock rear + 3200 stall on slicks = lots of parts.
