Ryan set me up with these about a 8months ago when I was first building my car and I just got around to putting them on this weekend. Overall impression of the product is top notch, the welds, hardware and installation was extremely nice and simple.
I have a UMI TQ arm you can see in the pictures as well as SFC's I have yet to install because of my fuel line location.

UMI stuff is top notch, i wouldnt go any other way. If you look close you can see my buddies '94 with full UMI stuff too.

The mufflers are 3.5in moroso spiral flows.

Looking good!!! All my UMI products have been top notch also!!

Ill bet it sounds mean with the mufflers right off the headers. I pulled my TDs yesterday to readjust my UMI TA, I just had to start it with no exhuast and it was wicked loud! Wish I could always drive like that. LOL!

Thats the 'street' setup there, I have 8" open extensions I will use for the track. Just enough pipe to keep the O2's alive.

how do you like the tunnel mount? Ive heard complaints that they are noisy but i think they just dont clearance the tunnel and it bangs against it

I had the same one pictured and went back to a full length TA with relocation crossmember. It was terrible on a street car IMO. Felt like it worked good though.

Havent really gotten to use it yet but there is no way anyone s hould run a tailshaft mount tq arm on a car that sees track time. The shock on the shaft is enough to sheer your housing and output shaft right off.

Do you say that because it clunked and such? If thats why that means it had to have been hitting somewhere so I'll just hammer the shit out of the floorpan lol

I totally agree, if you drag race the car it should be relocated off the tail shaft, especially on a M6. I just did not see the tunnel mount style as street friendly at all, actually felt bad for the car. On a drag only car It works great.

Oh it was terrible, first the floor pan flex was terrible and loud, the rear mount hit the tunnel, I dont like the pivot style front mount, I beleive it allows the DS to slide back and forth causing slop in the driveline on hard downshifts wich felt terrible, it is extremly rough over bumps of any size, It was extremly loud and just did not work on the street for me.
I never had any probs at the track, just on the street.
I 100% happy with the way it is now, only thing I miss is the incorperated DS loop

Hm i'll figure out when time comes, those relocation kits alone are expensive

it ends up alittle more but worth it on a street car

Stiffness = the win.

I know a handful of tunnel mounted guys, LS and LT all of which drive their cars daily. It all comes down to preference. My car is no where near a full race car, i will drive it as much as I can. I still have OD, HVAC and all the creature comforts along with 398ci LTx on two kits.. :)

Def personal pref, but I coudnt stand it.
I want a 398 on 2 kits :):):)!! Are those LCAs are on car adjustable?

That they are, just losen the tow end nuts and crank the middle nut. I gained about 1/2in clearance up front of the tire and about 1/8 behind the tire just with the brackets alone.

I will be swapping out my non-adj UMI LCA for these once I get back from the shootout. I have a small issue now I need to fix upon returning.
