Back in the day when this one was basically stock I think the 150hp jetting (on a .063 nitrous jet) was picking up 1.2-1.3 seconds.

you cant go wrong with either system. i personally like nozzle systems opposed to plate systems. (easier to hide factor) both are VERY effective:D
either system can be safe as long as you instal and use properly.
MSD digital6 is my first choice to pull timing out and enhance ignition
efficiency
NGK tr6 plugs gapped at .032-.035
quality plug wires msd,taylor etc.
255 lph fuel pump & hotwire kit www.racetronix.com (http://www.racetronix.com)
new fuel filter, inspect lines leading to fuel rail
if you think your injectors are old, leaking or just old
www.racetronix.com (http://www.racetronix.com) will fix you up,you can also use the SVO30lb red tops.
lastly, before you go out racing make an 1/8 mi. pass on the bottle then pull over let the motor cool down remove a spark plug and check it/read it.. if it looks good and the car made a clean run, no backfires, hesitation etc. go make a 1/4 mi. pass then check a few plugs mainly concentrating on cyl.6 & 8 since these 2 are known for running lean. if those plugs look good i would then say you are ready for the dyno to have the air/fuel checked for proper operation using the wideband, then you can get tuned properly...i am a HUGE fan of NX! there are many others out there that are just as good but i have a nice history with NX
PS your friend is obviously an LS1 person, Lt1 cars have the nozzle placed after the maf...

I perfer nozzels(on mine, 1 nozzel for each stage)
I built few nitrous cars for people....with a 150hp wet kit i never take any timing out, the pcm will pull any for you if needed, run highest pump gas you can find, and put a bottle of octaine booster in. But any more then 150hp I start to pull timing out.
more important ....keep an eye on the bottle psi!!!
get an msd box, aftetmarket coil, and 1 step colder plugs, and never spray below 3000rpms!:shame:
have fun, your going to chew up alot of tires, lol!
