as far as tricks... maybe throw a buddies slicks in your car and meet him at the track! lol or gut your car, What does the elevation do to your times up there? I have a buddy who has an LS1 WS6 with full exhaust and a lid and he barely could get a low 13s(13.4-13.2) his first try out. but thats here in kansas so idk. good luck and a video would be cool! Should be a drivers race!

I will try and get a vid of it. Is there anyway i could lower my 60ft? I think i run about 32psi in the back tires and had to lower them to about 15 last time out at the 1/8 mile track. I can't seem to find a sweet spot to dump the clutch either.

umm... on my street tires they used to do their best at about 20 psi. and as far as the clucth goes... idk that much about f-bodies and M6s but i've read that about 2k is a good spot to start slippin it and then just let it roll out, but hopefully someone will give you better advice or at least personal experience! lol

well i would say that i was just a byron this sunday and i have had a lot of friends say that 2 grand is good RPM to slip your clutch in cause it does not cause it to bog down and also it wont dead hook eather but the best is just try and error

For me anything above 1500 and the tires go up in smoke. I just launch it "off idle" with no spin and it gets out pretty good on the street.

I was hoping to break 12's for the first time on street tire in this thing. I will prob. replace the valve springs to try and get my MPH back and also bump it up to 94 octane which it was tuned at. Maybe then i could break the 12's

Nice reaction time. Not sure if anyone noticed that .038 he put on his friend. You had half a car before 60 ft just because of that then the LT1 took over on the big end.

it takes a cammed LT1 to beat a bolt on LS1 :D
BTW LS6 Intakes are stock on 00-02's ;)

Well I could have beat him even worse if I would have fixed the broken intake and exhaust valve spring on the #3 cylinder, and also upgraded from the stock injectors to 42# injectors and updated the tune. That way it would be a true cammed LT1 with supporting mods, and not just for sound as it is right now.

Well the springs broke at the very base and then kinda coiled into each other which made a slight ticking noise and I thought it was the lifters ticking so i just ignored it, it wasn't very loud. Went racing and on the way back home they broke again in the middle and just shattered and went everywhere. The car used to trap at 109mph and on that run it traped 107.
