I am working on putting a small system in my 94 formula. I'm thinking a 10" sub in a stealthbox with an amp rack a friend is going to build in the back. Should i just get 2 10", or will 1 be enough? I'm not looking for the loudest thing ever, just something that will compliment my car and make the audio better.

I went with one in the stealth box and its working great for me. I dont want the loudest... because thats more weight and every 100 lbs. is a .1 off your quarter mile. plus then when someone else can hear it, you have to deal with theft.

well depending on what sub you get it will be enough. In my case I have one RE SE10 and it sounds awesome. But one decent sub with a decent amp should give u what your looking for
i say none they weigh too damn much:shame:

thats why i don't have a sub yet, i didn't want to put any weight into the car. but i've since gotten over that since i make maybe 2 trips a year to the track! any suggestions for a good amp sub combo?

I have 2 10" RF P1's with a 200.2 RF amp. The P1's are the least expensive RF makes, but they work great for me. Bumps very hard and I can pull the subs out in about 20 seconds before I go to the track. All you have to do is get a normal sealed box that sits in the trunk where the ttops go and you have no problems. Just pull it out and unplug the wires. The amp weighs like 5 pounds... big deal. The big sandwich you just ate for lunch probably makes up for the pounds you guys are trying to save. I won't have another car without a sound system.

I run 1 Alpine sub. Sounds great and takes up minimal space.

1 optimal sub will be better than 2 average subs

I know I'm alittle late to the party here but I'm running one 12 in a stealth box and its louder then any other car I've ever been in (besides my old Audi). JL audio or JBL are the only way to go IMO. here is my set up.

where did you get your amp rack from? or did you build it yourself?
