Up for sale I have a 95 caprice with an LT1 engine and the 9C1 police package. It is an ex-Mass state police cruiser.
I bought it with intentions of pulling the motor and using it in one of my project cars but I think my fiance has convinced me to use the LS1 I have in the garage for it instead so now I need to move this one.
The car has been sitting for a few years but was a running driving car when parked. Known issues are a radiator leak, exhaust leak, and a blown brake line. I was also told that it shifts fine at part throttle but sticks in gear under full throttle. Was told it might be a broken sensor on the tranny line. It does still yard drive, I took it up and down the driveway a couple times. The body has approx 204k miles on it but from my past experience with the 13+ ex-cruisers we bought from the surplus auction a few years ago anything with over 160k had the motor/tranny's freshened. I have nothing to verify this is the case here, but, from past experience that has been a consistent finding. I knew the previous owner and the car ran and drove well before it developed a couple minor issues and he parked it. So, use the motor for your project car, or, fix it up and have impala ss performance for a fraction of the cost.
Asking $950 obo for the whole car, or, willing to part it our as long as I get a buyer for the motor first. Feel free to make offers, cash talks.
Also have an LT1 T56 6 speed and a complete LT4 hot cam kit (cam, springs, roller rockers) if anyone would like to make a package deal on a nice drivetrain for their hot rod.
