What part of the console? Do you just need the center part out (around the shifter including the cup holder and ash tray) or the whole thing including the glove box.

Put the car in Neutral and look on the back of the shifter (towards the front of the car) there is a little staple looking thing. Stick a straight head screwdriver through that and pull it out. The Shifter knob will come off then. The rest of it is just held on by clips, you will have to pull them out, but don't go ripping it off because as your doing it you will have to be unhooking your "Transmission Perform" wire. When pulling it off start from the front or back, I can't remember where I started but it's pretty simple to do.

Yeah, Pull it completely out. When you go to put it back in you will have to squeeze the ends of it together a little but it won't be too bad.
