Check all your plug wires to make sure they are in the spot. Make sure your connection is plugged in good. And im not sure what year your car is but if its a 95 thru 97 then I have the same one as you. It is driven by a piece that doesnt have a gear end on it, it just pushes on and the O-rings help to keep it hooked up good. You might want to pull it back off and check to make sure both the o-rings are on there and that they maintained a good seat in their grove. Other than that take the opti back and get another one. hope this helps

So did the car start up and then after 3 seconds die or did in not start up at all. Because if it started then died it might be other problems like the iac needing to be reset.

I had my brother turn the car on while i had spark plug #1 disconected. I did not see no spark shoot out but i sure did feal a tingling sensation coming of the wires.

maybe the plug wires are shot. if you are getting current through the wires then that would be my guess.

are the plug wires clipped on all the way? i know my opti was a pain in the ass to clip the plug wires on and wouldnt run or run right if they wernt on all the way idk its worth a try.

Did you make sure the cam dowl is in the right slot on the opti, and is the opti is seated all the way? I
just put one on last night and the car fired right up.

Dam guys.... I took the opti back off just to make sure the cam dowl pin was in the right slot on the opti...and it was. I also noticed that my optispark haness was jacked up a bit and I all ready purchased a new one.
Let see i tested my ICM and it was fine....
Just for the hell of it im going to buy some new spark plugs.
