So I'm not trying to start a battle of which short shifter is the best, I'm just looking for some information.
I know that some 4th Gens came with a Hurst Shifter as an option - is this a short shifter? Is it the same as the Hurst short throw you can find on Summit?
Who wants to explain? :D

its a hurst but not the Billet Plus, and the factory hurst is not that short.
I have had the reg factory shifter(crap), the factory Hurst(better but still crap), the Hurst Billet Plus(very percise and smooth), and now the Pro 5.0(very mechanical feeling, but seems the return spring doesnt always center at the 3/4 gates)
I like the Pro 5.0 way beter than the factory stuff but, I may go back to the Hurst Billet Plus.
I tried my buds B&M Ripper and didnt like it at all. Might also look at the MGW or whatever its called thats supossed to be real nice.
I use the Speedinc. Short angled stick, and like it alot.

I have an MGW shifter. I've never used a Pro 5.0 or any other shifter, BUT..
I would def. recommend the MGW shifter

My brother and I both have the B&M Ripper. It's a good shifter. My other brother has a Pro 5.0 and he loves it.

Pro5.0 all the way!
In my mustangs I have broken the shift pawl off a couple "knock off" shifters. The pro5.0 is always precise and on point.

Have they made one that uses the stock shifter knob size yet? That was my only concern.

i know pro 5.0 accepts the stock knob..i love mine but wanted it a little shorter even.i screwed a nut on the end and cut about 1 inch off the threads and unscrewed the nut back off to clean the threads and it turned out perfect.i will say that i have heard alot of good reviews about the mgw's but ive never had one

I got a 30 dollar short shifter of ebay for my m6 formula. install was easy, throw is crisp and very short. Lowered my et .2 Only drawback is the stock shift know will not thread on.

Well I found out the shifter I have now is the one on Ebay for $38 shipped. I'm probably going to go with a MGW or Pro 5.0 when things are said and done.
Thanks to everyone.
