Sounds about right. Slow it down and it should go down eventually. It's also due to your age, you're high risk. Throw all that together with the vehicle you drive and you will have high premiums.

Some do. I believe Progressive and Geico do. Companies like Allstate, Farmers, State Farm you will have to talk to an agent. Also, keep in mind that your actual premium will differ a bit from what you're quoted online since those companies do not run motor vehicle reports and insurance scores before hand. It's probably best to talk to a live person to get accurate quotations.

im afraid its just a part of being young my man,,hell my insurance was high as hell to with my 84 Z when i was 16...oh yeah the tickets dont help:laugh:
to be honest you may not find anyone willing to offer you full coverage just because of
1-age
2-tickets
3-type of car
thats probably the first 3 things they check off:(
p.s. i wasnt 16 in 1984 just for the record..old but not that old

100/300 is pretty common around here, although the state minimum is 20/40. What a joke that is.

Yep. I know in IL Allstate won't even touch that car without another car on the policy or a property policy. You might just have to bite the bullet there Warner. Keep that driving record clean. No accidents or tickets. Unfortunatly being a new driver doesn't help along with insuring your T/A. I'm not sure what your coverages are now, but I wouldn't cut your coverages down to try and save money. The worst that could happen is you could be under insured. Also, when shopping for insurance make sure that you compare the coverages you currently carry to the ones that are quoted to you. I used to work with Allstate and I still work in the insurance industry so if there's anything you need help with, let me know. :)

Full coverage. 100k/300k with a 500 collision and 250 comp road side assistance and rental reimbursement. I pay ~$60 a month for the Z and ~$130 a month for the Grand Prix. Tell me how that works.

grand prix is a newer car?
my cars insurance is ~ 2/3 the T/A and 1/3 the wagon but the T/A has full and the wagon does not and the wagon is also a 1995. it's a subaru legacy. that's why its so cheap, lol

Every car/truck I have owned has had full coverage on it EXCEPT my first little beater, which was a 93 Toyota Tercel with 160k on it. So you can see why I wasnt too concerned about banging that one up.
People around here cant drive worth a damn, so theres really no way anything decently valueable leaves the driveway without full coverage. Its not so much you hitting things, as it is you getting hit by morons (when you are stopped, have a green light/right of way ect....)
But currently, the 350 is on the road full coverage and I am paying around the $160 a month mark... Not too bad for being 22, but my record is fairly clean. No actual speeding tickets ect... (I guess I just do it in the right places).
The car is a little steeper at around $200 a month (was slightly over 2k a year last year, and was even more before.... When I was 17-18 my 99 TA was like 3k a year... OUCH!). Since then, it has gone down quite a bit. The bright side? In a month I wont need insurance or plates anymore. Dealer plates FTW!

I have full coverage on my Trailblazer. I also had full coverage on my Formula too.
I paid about $900 every 6 months for my Formula and pay $950 for my trailblazer every 6 months. Thats with 2 accidents and me being 18.

95 Z vs 98 GP GT :hmm: Still cheaper than it was on my parents' plan. I was paying $240/mo. I'll take it.

When I bought my 93 (I was 18 at the time) I called to set up the insurance and asked about Full Coverage for shits and giggles.
Let's just say I didn't get it. I paid $3,200 for the car, they wanted $3,000 for 6 months of Full Coverage.
