View Full Version : Not only is the car dead but my Clutch still isnt in help!

Well I ordered my Mcleod Street twin a long time ago and its still back ordered
and I need to get something fast!
What would your second choice clutch be? Car will prob have around 650 HP by the end of summer and more when I get a 396 down the road.
Help! Need to make a decision asap.

spec 3+ with there billet steel flywheel. should work well. and its a good price. sucks to here about wat happened man hope you get it straightened out and hope you get a clutch in time

Me too! I like the spec but see mixed reviews on them.

i have to thats why i wouldnt be able to buy one. the one guy on tech had good advice just get a better disk till your twin disk comes in but you flywheel will need resurfacing or a new one. ive heard some bad things about resurfacing the stocker

Most people that have had issues were LS1s and I guess those were older ones so IDK what to do??
Dont want to waste any money on just a better disc.

you could give the zoom a shot order it right from summit be there in 2-3 days get it in broken in and ready for the event

I second the Spec 3+ , awesome clutch i abused the hell out of one until i upped the nitrous shot now i use the stage 5

Ok Larry just got a hold of Mcleod and the clutch should be here by thurs! :)!!!
Now I need to get the car running again!

good now you dont have to spend money on an unwanted clutch now just get it runnin and kick some ass

My Spec went out quick, less than 2,000 miles. I've heard similar stories.

Powergrip HD maybe?
