I've been doing some excel work organizing some parts I plan on buying and so I decided to price out my suspension as well and anyways, my goals for next summer will end up costing me ~$1300 and that's what I'll be spending in the next year. That being said, for the next year, I'll be spending ~$100/mo on my car. I'm not really sure what I spent last year but I did more maintenance than anything (windshield, clutch, tires) so it's gonna feel good being able to see my car come together a bit.

Keep in mind I'm not asking your car payment, insurance, gas, etc. One thing from my goals list I left off because I think I can convince my dad into buying it for me for a combined christmas/birthday present (small body work)

This summer I spent about $250 a month on just upkeep for our DD cars. That's not even modifying :(

I would say if you average my car from last years tear down to this year when I made my first passes about 1800 a month. :secret: Just don't let my wife read this.

:face_shocked: Holy crap!!! You guys put a lot of dough into your cars. I gues I might do a little more if I didn't have $700/month in daycare. Aaahhh well. I gotta say, I did spend $120 on car seat. Does that count? LOL.

If you want the average, this year it was about $250-300 a month. But that was one large buy. Recently I haven't bought anything for it... poor thing. :(

Yall make me jealous. School and just living expenses take up all my money. All ive done to the firebird in the last year is full exhaust and a new rearend.

The camaro has gotten no money put into it.

don't be jealous of me. I only got to spend money on the cars cause I sold my bronco for 2500 this week so I have some money to play with. PUT SOME money in that camaro. that car looks amazing. get it on the road!

Just curious wich car do you like better? Camaro or Formula?;)
Since the Firebird has a head start i would stick with putting the mods on it.

Just 800 so far in the last 3 or 4 months (MSD Billet opti/plugs/wires/oil pan and seals/front cover seals). If you dont include gas and all that other BS of course :D

So divided up its been a pretty uneventful season for the hawk at $200.00 a month. The last few years make up for it (full suspension one year, cam other year).

in the last year i've spent probably $4400 but i don't really think i can break that down month by month because i can pretty much split it into 3 parts: $3k for the tranny rebuild (more than i thought it was going to be, but it did include a rear main seal change, pinion seal change, oil level sensor change, and oil sending unit change, although they should have paid for that since i'm pretty sure they broke it taking it out), $1200 for the ram air hood, airbox, and paint (had the hood and the roof repainted), and $200 for the intake manifold gasket, valve cover gaskets, oil pan gasket, and intake painting. I'm guessing the tranny could have been done cheaper, at least its got a 3 year 50k mi warranty, but i'm sure i made up some if not all of that by the $200 job i got done by some friends for the intake manifold gasket, vc gaskets, and oil pan gasket. i think that would have cost $1000-$1500 easily at a shop

I bought the camaro about a month ago for a daily driver. Its a very nice car and especially for the money i bought it for. The paint and interior look new and is just overall in better shape than the formy.

But ive put so much work into the firebird i guess im more attached to it. I was gonna sale it but decided to keep it and make it a fun weekend car.

The camaro is gonna stay basically the way it is. Maybe some headers and a cutout but thats gonna be it.

Yikes... I really want to take a semester off school and put some work/$ into my car because I feel like I'm neglecting it. I keep telling myself to finish up school then I'll have plenty of $$$ to fix it up.

And I was looking for a monthly average.... so.. $4400/12 = $367/mo

Yeah I'm not, but it's tempting at times.
