I have always known the difference in longtubes and shortys, but now im reading about midtubes? How is the ground clearence with these and power gains vs longtubes? I have longtubes on the firebird but my camaro is lowered 2 inches and i really dont see longtubes being a good idea with some of our rough roads around here.

AS&M makes excellent mids.
As always, LTs will net you a couple extra hp, and mids will net you a little more ground clearance. It's a decision you're going to have to make. Is it a strip car or a cruiser/DD?

mids have as much ground clearance as stock. and are decent imo on a stock motor, especially if your that low.

PS mid tube headers here.
ground clearance is pretty much stock like.

clearance isnt much of a reason to go with midlengths unless your car is slammed. pacesetters only hang down a couple of inches max lower than stock. Hookers on the other hand, hang a little lower. even with flanges they arent much lower than the trans.
here's my pacesetter's and my previous shitty y-pipe. stock height.

My z28 is gonna become my daily and im going to build the formula for the track. The car isnt slammed but ive hit my pacesetter on some speed bumps with the formula and it is stock height, so im looking into midlengths. The z is just gonna stay like it is with the exception of headers and maybe some 1.6 rrs.

You can get stepped, ceramic coated long tubes for $100 more than pacesetters.
your talking to the wrong guy about deep pockets, I'm currently jewing around waiting for a good deal on some rocker arms.

Now i wouldn't say that the ps are junk b/c i've had a set of mid's and long tubes with out any real issues.
I will agree with Eric on the fact that there are new companies that just came out recently making a very nice product for not much more.

theres not a damn thing wrong with pacesetters. A new superior product doesnt make the current one junk.

Aight Guys. Im going a new direction with the car and Im gonna go with longtubes, but first I want to hear how much clearence yall got with, LPPs, Pacesetter, and Im pretty interested in those new ebay headers. I already know the hookers hang pretty low.
Car has an Eibach Pro kit, so it lowered however far that is.
