Honestly, I'd go with the Mezeire HD. It will keep the car a bit cooler due to the extra flow capacity it has.
Either way you will be fine, I DD on the base model mezeire and I don't really see temps over 190* in hot ass Florida with a 160 thermo and my fans tweaked to come on sooner

I just purchased a Mezeire in a pump assembly and yet awaiting install. I've seen cars that have proven hours of street time DD these.

I wish I could help with this, I bought my whole opti/ewp conversion from Fastbird a while back and it all just kinda came together.
Get a hold of larry@speedinc or herron performance, they probably know which one to get and may have them for a good price.

If I remember correctly you should be able to use a regular double roller from the Gen1 block. Because when you run the electric pump you do away with the drive gear, letting you use a regular timing chain. You might have some clearance issues with that stock timing cover thou. You might wanna look into an aftermarket cover.

Any SBC chain will do. Spend $50-$60 for a good double roller. I've never heard of any electric water pump being better than any others or any of them making a car run hot. I run the Summit brand one, and my car stays at exactly the same temp as it did when it ran the stock pump.

It's not so much that they'll let the car run hot... the mezeire's run more GPM (i think that's the unit) than the CSR and Summit ones, so naturally they will cool a bit better. the HD flows something like 55gpm whereas the CSR is only 37 I think, it's in the links up there I'm just too lazy to look

The Summit and the CSR are the same. I use the Summit (which is cheapet btw) and I have never had my Temp go above 180

yeah. you just don't put that little spacer back in that fit between the WP and the drive from the gear.
