timing help????

i'm putting on my nitrous kit that i bought and i know i need to retard the timing but as far as which box is the best or at least some options to as how to do this is my question. Should I just buy an MSD ignition box with timing control? or are there any different brands or boxes that are cheaper that retard timing? please i need all of your guys' help! i'm a nitrous noob and i'm on a budget. I've already got all my switches and safety stuff. so this is the last thing i need. thanks!

The mallory 685 is the best box for the money. I still have one on my car. It has a single stage retard, window switch, two step all in one unit. If I'm not mistaken they run about $240
