whats Ponitac? haha, sorry couldnt help it. Well yes, its a very dark day. GM pretty much killed one of the better brands it had.
I have to think that why didnt the axe Saturn Hummer or Buick first?
I see like a million G8s and G6s and Sunfire, (or whatever the hell they call them now) everyday,

+ the G8 is a Holden car so it will stay "down under" and GM will have Holden just stop making them. All they will be out is the interior parts.

Toyota, Nissan and Honda have been fairly competitive with only two brands, a general brand and a luxury brand, I can't see why GM couldn't be. Other then a select few models, to much redundancy through the GM line up.

simple, the American public has been brainwashed that the forign cars are made better. How many have a race car and a forign Dd car/truck...not me! I hate seeing a U.S. marine or any other military plate on a forign car...that's just me.
My DD is an HHr and my truck will be a 1500 or 2500 Chev

yep. when we were looking fr a new car for me to drive the wheels off of and put 100 miles a day on, we got a grand prix. in the 20-25k range there wasn't anything other than the gp to fill our needs. it had to be roomy, have a v6, plenty of power and get good gas mileage. it has pulled atleast 30 mpg since i got it and the lifetime average is 27.9 which is higher than the compairable v6 imports listed highway mileage. i get 440-475 miles to the tank and twice it got 492.
it has 123k on it and we bought it new in 04.

tis a sad day PONTIAC is now lost next to OLDS. well it may be a good thing, we won't see them ruin pontiac anymore. pontiac will be remembered for the good cars anyway, but its not trashed and thrown away at least. i was hoping for a kickass bird though. i woulda bought that no second thought.
i am a proud american, give me GM,FORD,DODGE. THE REST BE FLASHY SCRAP METAL.
note*i accept german and british cars as good cars.
