so i might be able to get a new(er) car, i found a B4C for $8995, it's a 2000, and in really good shape. i'd have to get rid of the RS to get it though...

How good of shape is the RS in. If its the 4th gen RS with a 6 banger Id definitly do it. If its a 3rd gen RS, well Id probably still do it.

i personaly dont think that the b4c is worth anything extra, i would find an equally nice z28 or ss for less money

exactly my thoughts!

That b4c is super clean and looks in awesome condition, but unless ur stuck on gettin a b4c, I would find somethin else equally nice and clean.

that's one of the lowest prices i've found within 100 miles from where i live. for an LS1 anyways. and Iron, it's a 3rd gen. it needs quite a bit of work

Not wit the LS1 myself. I bought one after my lt and never felt the same love for it. Back in a Lt1 now :) and lovin it!

another thing is, i KNOW how well this car was maintained. it just came off of active service with the Sioux Falls Police. so it's had regular maintenance. with other cars, you kinda have to wonder about how well it was taken care of.

btw, i found a '99 LS1 Z28 M6, but it's $11k, with 125k miles.

Just keep in mind that these B4C cars have been run a bit more than you think. They don't all necessarily get abused, and they recieve almost weekly maintenance, but the cars see A LOT of time on the street. Understand that these cars are always running when hiding on the interstate trying to catch speeders. I would tend to think you can find a better deal. B4C's realistically experience more use/wear than the odometer reads. JMHO

This is very true. Most police cars used in a patrol function will have more wear/usage than what the odometer can show, as they idle for long periods of time and often go wot while going on priority calls.

the car was an undercover unit. they've since switched over to Mopar vehicles for undercover work:doh:

and i've officially sold the RS, went for $500 in non-running condition. and i'm trading with my friend for the Olds. i'm thinking of adding a little boost to the picture with that old 4.0 too :D:devil::metal:
