Found this on my local forum. Hes down to 3000 dollars. Id just keep the motor stuff and the rear. Probably sell the body and little things I dont need and try to make some money back on it. .

I may be going to the bank for a small loan. I found the car I have now on there for 1300 bucks with a busted tranny. I hate it for the guys around here but in the economy a lot of guys are giving stuff away.

Hey mods, I guess I should have put this in the camaro section. Move it if yall need. :hmm:

The parts are probably worth it. It just comes down to if you have the time/motivation to piece it back together.

Well, Ive been talking to the guy via email and am supposed to get some pics this weekend.
It is looking like Im gonna back out though, still not sure. The rear end is a used one he bought from someone. They didnt install the ring and pinion correctly and they ate each other. He said he had it inspected and all it needs is gears, but it seems to me that all that metal from the gears grinding on each other would ruin the posi along with all the other bearings in there.
The rear and heads were the main reasons for getting the car and I was gonna try to make a little money off of it.

Gonna get more pics this weekend of the rear and of the portwork on the heads.

I do have another question for you guys. The owner had the heads cc'd to 66cc's. Im not sure if the intake/exhaust runners are ported. They have about 500 miles on them according to him. What are they worth? Are they worth less since they've been worked over?

My plan is, if everything goes through, sell the heads, crank, rods, and a lot of the other miscellaneous things I wouldnt need and rebuild his old motor into a nice little 355. It had 128000 miles on it and ran perfect before he pulled it.
Then put that motor in my car, and then my old motor in his car and hopefully sell it for around 3000 when its all put back together.
