I got my LPPs loosely bolted up tonight and the Percy's splitlock header bolts only accept a 12pt socket or boxed end wrench (so far as I can tell). I can't get either of which on a couple of the bolts b/c they're too close to the primary. Any advice on what to use? I tried various sizes of open end wrenches but they won't work (unless I need to try an odd size?)

I've seen some grind a little off a box end wrench to make it more of a 12 pt flare nut wrench for more clearance.

Where did you get those bolts. I've been looking for those, supposed to better than stage 8's right?

I just switched from stage 8 to those, when i get my motor back together this week I'll let you know how those are. I didn't like the stage 8s because i had to custom grind each one to make them fit. If you don't grind them than they will be too tight or too loose. These should make a good alternative if they don't seize up over time. I would probably try grinding down the outside of an extra socket. These are low torque so you can go pretty thin in the socket.

I have these same bolts with the Percy's dead soft aluminum gaskets and they are great! All you have to do is grind down the closed end of a box wrench, just be careful you dont go too thin or else it will break

I got them from speedtweekers on ls1tech (his forum name is heavy6.0). He sells on ebay too.
