One of my rear speakers is blown and I had planned on keeping the stock system since my car is more drag than street as it sits not but i guess I'm looking into options without rewiring the whole car.
I guess my options are
1. find stock speaker and replace
2. Aftermarket speaker without rewiring?

IS it the far rear speaker? I have a delco bose sub enclosure with speaker that i am not using. It is out of a 1993 with the bose system. If it is one of the sail panel speakers check Crutchfield. They have a speaker selector guide and thay make wiring adapter to fit any car.

Yeah, it the one in the sail panel. I will check Crutchfield or else just look for a used working speaker.

I know a lot of speakers won't sound right in our cars. has to do with the ohms. Get with KeeAudio over on LS1tech. I think he might be a sponsor here too, but he knows these cars very well and what works with the stock set up.

How does the factory sub sound? I've never heard one before. I thought about getting one a while back, but I like to hear these things b4 I buy.

Very good. Only my CST-V sounds better than the Camaro stock stero vise. That is the main reason I am looking to just replace the one speaker and maybe the HU down the line for iPod apdt.

I know about th ohms. Kee Audio has some now that match the stock ohms for our cars which is what I was looking at but I still think stock is fine too.
