I had my car tuned by Ion twice and both times he hit it out of the park! I just wanted to take this chance to thank him, and suggest him to anyone looking for a mail order tune.

I opted to meet with him, since he only lives about 45 minutes away. he tunes my pcm on the spot in about 5 minutes. Great guy! A+++

He's in dekalb, right down 88, it's a joke to get there. He lives a block away from the highway.

would you guys recommend him over pcm4less? im stuck between the 2 and not sure if ones really better or not :driving:

edit: i do see his price is 50$ cheaper, and the cheap bastard i am that may just be enough reason right there. ill wait to see what you guys say though.

Yeah he is cheaper and you can get it re-tuned for only 50 bucks, once, in the future if you need it. I like that a lot.

We have used Ion a few times for OBD1 stuff since we no longer support the software. We have been very pleased with his services.

I'm going w/ Ion too. I've just read some of the long tuner threads on ls1tech, and no one has really said anything negative about Ion.

Plus, he's pretty local, as I'm in Chicago.

and cheaper! That's 3 for 3.

I just recently had his tuned PCM installed Friday. I love it! It cleared all my SES lights, smoothed out my idle and gave a little more throttle response. Pulling through the RPMs feels smoother and more natural. hard to explain

I know exactly what you mean. His tunes really are spot on.

What exactly is needed to get these cars tuned? I bought my car from a car lot and noone knows what the internals are of the motor. Kinda sucks but I bought this car dirt cheap. I heard that the motor is a 383 with mild head work and a big cam, its also a 6 speed, with 4:11 gears. The exhaust is the mufflex 4" kit with a 4" flowmaster race muffler. Its running real rich, bout a tank a week before the transmission broke, and thats if I only drive it about 60 miles a week. If someone can give me a starting point, it would be greatly appreciated.--Billy:D:DP.s. I want this thing to be streetable andbe able to cruise down the hwy with ac blowin cold!

Ion does good work, i was a little rich but that can be expected through a mail order.

All in all i was very impressed with the ability to get a good tune on a car that he's never seen.

I sent my Pcms to Ion also, he is awesome at what he does. He was a huge help to, answerd every question i had and then some. I am actually awaiting my pcm in the mail, and i also like how he can retune for $50 seeing as my car will be getting little bits here and there. +1 for Ion!!
