Finally got some seat time...

I finally got to the track Friday night. My best and last run for the night was 11.2 @ 130 w/ 1.8 60' and I hit the rev-limiter in first due to tire spin on that pass too. That could have been my 10 right there!!! http://www.afbforums.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif I feel pretty good about my results from last night, considering it has been more than 14 years since I have driven a car on slicks at the track.

Now I've got to work out a few bugs...

1) All the launches were motor only. I had the 1st gear locked out on the window switch so I wasn't getting the hit until after I shifted into 2nd.
2) The MSD Digital 6 is wired to pull 8 deg of timing when the nitrous system is armed. So even though I had the nitrous locked out of first gear, 8 deg was still getting pulled N/A!! So that really hurt my 60' and ET too.
3) After we left the track, I figured out that the nitrous was shutting off at 6300 RPM even though I was shifting at 6500. So I definitely lost some MPH and ET there again too.

I have to imagine this thing has some 10.50's and 135-ish traps hidden in it somewhere and I just need some tweaks and practice to get there. I think Ray got some video and a friend from the local F-Body forums took some pics which are here...

Yeah, one option is to just launch on spray. The other option is to wire the retard with activation of the solenoids instead when the system arms.

I was just trying to be careful, maybe a little too much, since it has been a while for me at the track.
