I know it's a Ford, and it's def not an Ltx... But Its been a long time coming and I'm proud of the progress I've made on this build. Plus the guys over at the Ford forums dont like my sig and wont talk to me :shame:
I started building this car for a good friend of mine, Nick Marino. He got killed on his motorcycle the day we sent out the money for the new motor. Since then, another of my good friends (actually my partner) bought the car so that we could finish it and let Nick Sr see the finished project go down the track. Since then, we've been putting in any free time we have to work on this thing. And of course, spending all of our extra money on it as well.
The motor is a '00 4.6 liter 4valve that's been outfitted with all forged internals, a Paxton Novi 2000, 8rib drive, crank trigger and a distributor in the valve cover. This is to eliminate the coil on plug factory style ignition. The motor is going to be run with my old Accel DFI gen7 system.
The pics kinda suck because they were taken with a cell phone. But I'll get some better pics as we get more done on the car.
I'm also installing an AlkyControl methanol injection system on the car.

The car started out life as a 99 GT, now you'd almost swear that it's a Saleen Car because all the cosmetics have been changed out.
We have the Novi 2000 pulleyed to max out at about 7500 rpm... So whatever boost that gets us. Guess we'll be finding that out as soon as we get the DFI installed and start running it.

It's one of several, it and my own car are the ones going the slowest due to money issues. With the mustang being the build going together the quickest of the two.
That is of course due thankfully to my partner dumping all his disposable income into it. With that help, we're looking toward 2 1/2 - 3 weeks before we can fire it up and get it on the dyno.
The plan is/was to have my TA ready for dyno tuning at the same time. But I was recently laid off my normal job and I'm trying to make a living working on other projects for cash. So my car may lag a little behind the Mustang as far as dyno work and 1/4mile passes.
On a side note: we made some more progress on the 'stang:
-Transmission installed (a bad ass pro shifted T5 from ProMotion)
-Exhaust (3.5" duals with x-pipe and spintech mufflers... All v-band connections!)
-Methanol kit (except the main wiring)
-Got the crankcase evac system plumbed up.
-Re-pinned the Accel DFI-7 injector harness (GM LT1/TPI harness) to work on the 4.6
-Determined that the damn $500 dollar plenum spacer we bought will not allow hood clearance as we were promised... So it's coming off to avoid buying and painting another hood, and reworking the plumbing from the intercooler to the TB. Worst part of that is we already drilled and tapped the spacer for the Accel Manifold Surface Temp sensor, so it's not returnable.
Anyway, will get some good pics up soon. Thanks for all the responses!

Going to get some good pics with a real camera in a few minutes... The car's all dirty from sittin in the shop for so long, but it's on a lift so I'll get some showing the Torque Arm Suspension setup that's been installed!
Once I get back on the PC I'll get them hosted on photobucket and post them up here.

Got some pics of the car after we finished working on it tonight. Couldn't get any good front shots because of the position of the lift.
I did get a few from underneath showing the torque arm and the 3.5" exhaust. As well as some better pics of under the hood... Just the engine bay was a bit messy this afternoon because I started trying to get everything wired up today.
Anyway, I'll let the pics speak for themselves. Just let me know if you have any questions...

I've got a little heart for a nicely done stang. Especially a 94-98. My favorites. That exhaust work looks top notch

As much as I love f-bodys.... Mustangs sound sooo damn sexy :hail:
(Hence why I'm a LT1 owner and not a LS1 owner :jest:)

Stephanie, this thing is def going to be a beast. Any time you and/or Phil wanna see it just give me a ring. I'll shoot you my cell phone number via a PM. Actually, I would like to pick at Phil's mustang brain about a few things anyway.
For an update, I should be spending the majority of this week working on the car. So I'll make sure to get some more pics.
