parking light

ok so i took both my parking lights out in front (the amber colored blinkers for the front), and they say R and L on them, now obciously it stands for left and right, but left from where? when you are sitting in the drivers seat? or when you are facing the front of the car?

IIRC, left is the drivers side. They'll only go in one way though so you shouldn't have any trouble figuring it out.
